Challenger Baseball

Challenger is designed for boys and girls age 4 to 18 with developmental disabilities. It is the goal of SLL to provide a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for our children to play baseball.  Players not only have a great time playing baseball, but also experience pulling together as a team, being cheered by a crowd, and being encouraged by their peers

Teams are set up according to abilities rather than age and can include as many as 15-20 players per team. Challenger games can be played as tee ball games, coach pitch, player pitch, or a combination of all three.

Teams practice begin the week after Spring Break with games starting in late April running through early June.

Games may be played here in Sandpoint or in the communities of other leagues in the District.

Jersey (T-shirt) and baseball cap are provided to players by the league. SLL also provides coaches with helmets, bats, and catching equipment. . Players need to have a baseball mitt.
